What to expect: A guided walking tour. Please bring appropriate footwear.
Kayaking
When: Saturday 5 December 2026
Time: 12.30pm - 3.30pm
Where: Kaikōura Kayaks
Cost: $165.00 per person
What to expect: Kaikōura’s only kayak company where you can view dolphins — and New Zealand’s only kayak operator offering the chance to see whales!
Bring the following: Long sleeved thermal top, Fleece (if a bit chilly), shorts or light pants e.g. quick dry clothing, NO JEANS! Sunglasses, cap, running shoes or sandals, drinking water and phone or camera. Any medication required. If you suffer from motion sickness, please take medication prior.
Whale watching
When: Saturday 5 December 2026
Time: 2.00pm - 4.45pm

What to expect: Whale Watch is New Zealand's only vessel-based whale watching company offering an exciting up-close encounter with the world's largest toothed predator the Giant Sperm Whale in their natural environment at all times of the year.
